Smitty’s Take: Ian Rapoport, on Twitter, just posted this on LeVeon Bell’s contract situation: “Much of the focus for Monday will be on #Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell once again. There has been some progress, but it sounds like this one may come down to the wire — just like last year. It got close. Time will tell if they can push it over the line.” With Bell planning to holdout of training camp, the Steelers better get something done by July 16. Bell is reportedly seeking $17 million per year, but the runner would get $14 million for 2018 if playing under the franchise tag. I’d put it at about 50/50 that this gets resolved by July 16, which are improved odds from a few weeks ago. Despite the holdout concerns, we still have Bell locked into our 1-4 overall players heading into 2018 (in all leagues and formats).
