NEWS: Week 9 Injury Report (Updated all Sunday)

November 4, 2018 |

NEWS: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski and RB Sony Michel are both out for Sunday Night Football (Week 9) against the Packers.
SMITTY’S TAKE: This was expected, so get them out of lineups. White and Barner will lead the backfield in this one. Chris Hogan may see more looks, if you need a sleeper WR start in this one.

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports A.J. Green (toe) is expected to miss at least “some games.”
SMITTY’S TAKE: Not good news. Green is consulting with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson to determine if surgery is needed. Tyler Boyd locks into high-end WR2 status at this point. Green could be lost for the season, folks. Stay tuned.

NEWS: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Rob Gronkowski (questionable, back/ankle) may not be available for Week 9 against the Packers.
SMITTY’S TAKE: Start planning accordingly. If you need alternatives, Texans TE Jordan Thomas is one great grab. If your league is huge roster-wise and guys like that just aren’t available, Ed Dickson is a deep, risky option.

NEWS: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Sony Michel (questionable, knee) may not be available for Week 9.
SMITTY’S TAKE: Plan accordingly. James White and Barner will be the guys in Week 9.

NEWS: Dalvin Cook (hamstring) is active for Week 9 against the Lions.

NEWS: Allen Robinson (groin) is inactive for Week 9 against the Bills.

NEWS: The Ravens have declared RB Ty Montgomery inactive for Week 9.

NEWS: Antonio Callaway (ankle) is active for Week 9.

NEWS: James Washington is active for Week 9.

NEWS: The Panthers have declared WR Torrey Smith inactive for Week 9.

NEWS: Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) won’t play in Week 9 against the Patriots.
Take: Marquez Valdes-Scantling has to be one of the best low-end WR3 starts this week. If you need a WR this week, make sure he isn’t on waivers.

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Stefon Diggs (ribs) is not expected to play Week 9 against the Lions.
Take: Adam Thielen will definitely get his in this one, but a Lions win wouldn’t be all that surprising with Diggs out, which will change the dynamic.

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Jets are “optimistic” Robby Anderson (ankle) will play Week 9 against the Dolphins.
Take: Check during warmups to make sure he’s a go, but he is a decent WR3 play this week. He always comes with risk, though.

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Chris Carson (hip) is a “game-time decision.”
Take: Mike Davis will be a strong RB3/flex this week if Carson is out.

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Melvin Gordon (hamstring) will play Week 9 against the Seahawks.
Take: The dude is top 5 overall moving forward (as long as he stays healthy).

NEWS: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Royce Freeman (ankle) is not expected to play Week 9 against the Texans.
Take: Phillip Lindsay is a high-end RB2 this week. Get him in lineups.

NEWS: Alex Collins (foot) is expected to play in Week 9 against the Steelers.
Take: Check during warmups on this one, but so far it’s good news.

NEWS: NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is at least two weeks from returning.
Take: A Jets win won’t be shocking as the Dolphins prove to be a paper tiger after an impressive start to the season.

NEWS: Derek Anderson (concussion) won’t play in Week 9 against the Bears.
Take: Nathan Peterman is a go, which makes the Bears a great play even banged up.

NEWS: Keke Coutee (hamstring) won’t play in Week 9 against the Broncos.
Take: Not a huge concern here, just as long as Demaryius Thomas is a go in this one. He should be, but to be safe, check during warmups. DT should be an easy fit into this big-play offense led by Watson.

NEWS: Cardinals waived Sam Bradford.
Take: Nothing to see here.

3.03Tyreek HillWRKCThis feels high, but like TY Hilton and Stefon Diggs, Hill is a speed specialist that can earn this value. Hill is one of those guys that feels like a reach when you grab him at this value, but at season's end, he finishes at a spot worth the price tag.
3.07Stefon DiggsWRMINElite season is in the cards, but try to get him as a 4th-round pick.
