News: Ronald Jones to start in RBBC?

June 11, 2018 |

Smitty’s Take: According to a few reports surfacing today, many expect second-round rookie Ronald Jones to share starting touches with both Peyton Barber and Charles Sims, at least early on in 2018. This isn’t crushing news by any means, as rookies not named Saquon Barkley aren’t usually handed the keys to the starting line-up out of the gate. Let Jones’ ability earn him the starting gig and take advantage of the current doubt while you wait for him to emerge. These kinds of June and July reports help crafty owners buy-low. There is always risk of running backs failing at the next level, one injury or bad coaching decision could turn things south… however, buy/draft responsibly and at/around his ADP, that’s the key here. I think this kid has a real shot at being a stud if all goes well in August and he can stay healthy.
