Week 7 Injury Report (Updated all day)

October 21, 2018 |

NEWS: Sony Michel left Week 7 against the Bears with a left knee injury.
Smitty’s Take: This did not look good. He dropped the ball as soon as he got twisted around. James White gets a big bump if Michel misses time, and we kind of fear this could be a big injury. We will keep you posted.

NEWS: LeSean McCoy left Week 7 in the first quarter with a head injury.
Smitty’s Take: We will keep you posted, but McCoy ‘s value continues to decline.

NEWS: According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Steelers believe it’s “more likely” that holdout RB Le’Veon Bell will return in Week 9.
Smitty’s Take: The thinking here is he comes back after he sees what’s what with the trade deadline. Tough break for all of us waiting on the stud to return, but his return is more likely than not at this point, it’s just a matter of when.

NEWS: Carlos Hyde is inactive for Week 7 against the Texans.
Smitty’s Take: This was expected after the short amount of time to prepare after his trade. His fantasy value is questionable once Fournette comes back.

NEWS: Allen Robinson (groin) is active for Week 7 against the Patriots.
Smitty’s Take: Get him in lineups.

NEWS: Julian Edelman and Sony Michel are both a go for Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: Both should be in lineups, especially with Gronk out in this one.

NEWS: Theo Riddick is out for Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: This makes Kerryon Johnson a very solid play this week.

NEWS: Rob Gronkowski is inactive for Week 7; Josh Gordon is a go.
Smitty’s Take: Gordon should get extra looks with Gronk out.

NEWS: DeAndre Hopkins is active for Week 7 against the Jaguars.
Smitty’s Take: Get him in lineups despite the tough matchup.

NEWS: Isaiah Crowell is active for Week 7 against the Vikings.
Smitty’s Take: Good news for those needing him. But, he isn’t the best play in smaller leagues.

NEWS: Duke Johnson listed as starter for Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: This is just in name, but both Duke and Chubb will get heavy usage, enough to make both strong plays this week (Duke in PPR). Chubb should get plenty of work today.

NEWS: Josh Allen is out for Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: The Colts are a sneaky-good DST play this week with Derek Anderson, grabbed off the street, drawing the start.

NEWS: Dalvin Cook is out Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: Lat Murray should have another week of solid usage.

NEWS: Melvin Gordonto sit Week 7.
Smitty’s Take: Austin Ekelier will start.
