NEWS: Geronimo Allison to have surgery; Valdes-Scantling a must-own?

November 5, 2018 | 0 Comments

Smitty’s Take: It appears Geronimo Allison’s season is in serious jeopardy. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, on our add list weeks ago, is looking like a fantastic WR3/flex moving forward. If for whatever reason this guy is still available in your league, be sure to scoop him up immediately. Allison was a strong talent in this offense, no doubt, but Scantling is arguably better. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams remain unaffected by this news, as Scantling helps this offense stay dangerous and hard to contain. Scantling’s 100-yard outing in Week 9 was the best thing for Adams’ value moving forward, as defenses are not likely to just focus on Adams… they can’t.

3.04Aaron RodgersQBGBWhile there is an argument on waiting on a QB these days, as the elite fantasy QB pool seems bigger than ever, it's still important to factor in Rodgers' 40TD potential. If you score 40TDs, something he can do during any old season, you can arguably have top 1-5 overall value in hindsight. I take Rodgers or Watson in the middle-to-late third-round without hesitation. Waiting on a Wentz or Brady is also a strong strategy, this is the season you can make any QB approach work if you plan correctly.
