Week 12 Injury Report

NEWS: DeSean Jackson is active for Week 12 against the 49ers.

NEWS: Jordy Nelson (knee) is active for Week 12 against the Ravens.

NEWS: Tom Brady (knee, illness) is active for Week 12 against the Jets.

NEWS: Bucs declared RB Ronald Jones inactive for Week 12 against the 49ers.

NEWS: The Pittsburgh Tribune Review is reporting that Antonio Brown will play in Week 12 at Denver.
Smitty’s Take: Get him back into lineups, but monitor the guy during warmups just in case. He is a top 1-4WR any time he is in the line-up, and he’s a great buy-low in dynasty right now.

NEWS: Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (questionable, hamstring/knee) is still a game-time decision for Week 12 against the Cardinals.
Smitty’s Take: His hamstring issues are back, but before anyone has a knee-jerk reaction, this should merely be monitored. If he sits this week, Austin Ekeler will be a high-end RB2 for this week’s outing.

NEWS: Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) has been downgraded to doubtful for Week 13.
Smitty’s Take: He is almost a lock not to play in this one. He should be back for the team’s next contest.

NEWS: According to reports, 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin is not expected to play in Week 12 against the Bucs.
Smitty’s Take: With Pierre Garcon out, this means that the 49ers are going to be struggling in the passing attack… Dante Pettis, Richie James and Trent Taylor will be the main WRs in Week 12, which means that the Bucs are a strong start in Week 12.

NEWS: Titans QB Marcus Mariota (neck) will start Monday night’s Week 12 outing against the Texans.
Smitty’s Take: This is great news for Corey Davis.

NEWS: Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) is no longer on the Week 12 injury report.
Smitty’s Take: After last week, it’s tough to know which WR is going to get the WR2-type numbers moving forward, Demaryius Thomas or Coutee… that makes both sketchy WR3s in fantasy, at least for now, but when Watson is on, that whole offense can thrive.

NEWS: According to reports, Cowboys WR Amari Cooper could end up getting a contract extension this offseason.
Smitty’s Take: The guy has always had elite talent, and it sure was nice to see his 8/180/2TDs line on Thursday night. While he could be inconsistent here and there, given Dallas has that kind of passing attack, but his huge Week 12, and recent strong play since arriving in Dallas, has us buying back into his high-end WR2-type appeal.
