Smitty’s Take: According to a few recent reports, Chiefs’ Coach Andy Reid has been moving Sammy Watkins “all over the place” within his offense. “We were moving him everywhere,” Reid said. “He hasn’t had to do that in his career.” An X receiver in his past, Watkins can now see different corners throughout a game, versus usually facing a team’s best defensive back. Moving teams in the NFL is not always an easy thing for wide receivers, but given that Pat Mahomes is just getting the keys to the starting line-up, Watkins and he will have a nice shot at developing a uniquely-special rapport. Staying healthy is Watkins’ challenge. If he stays healthy, we might see high-end fantasy WR2-type numbers in 2018.
