Smitty’s Take: The Steelers’ website does not list LeVeon Bell on its official depth chart. This was expect eventually, as he has yet to join the roster, but it’s still a shocking reminder that the best back in football could hold out longer. No one knows which way this thing will go. He could report by Friday and play in Week 2, or he could holdout until Week 10. This is a high-risk situation for those only holding LeVeon Bell (but, you should own both, as Conner was #2 on our Bold Predictions List for 2018), but it also presents a buying opportunity for those interested in taking a risk. We do suspect that Bell will report sooner than later, but every day that goes by makes him riskier. James Conner will have sleeping giant value even if Bell returns… he’s proven that already. However, if Bell makes this holdout a lengthy one, Conner could win fantasy owners leagues.
