Smitty’s Take: According to Mike Rodak, a Buffalo Bills reporter, the ex-girlfriend of RB LeSean McCoy has filed a personal injury lawsuit against McCoy and his friend. If you need a reminder of the situation, Cordon released a statement last month that speak to McCoy reportedly arranging a home invasion in which McCoy’s ex-girlfirend was assaulted. The Milton Police Department are reportedly still investigating the matter. While McCoy has not yet been charged in relation to any of this, the NFL could step in and take swift action. We’ve seen swift action before. It’s also possible that the NFL waits until things are a bit more clear, but it goes without saying that McCoy, depending on ADP, carries a bunch of risk and reward heading into 2018. If one took him in the 2nd-round, value he’d likely earn on 16 games, that’s way too high given the risk… however, if McCoy fell to late 4th-round or early 5th-round value, that’s when big upside gets introduced. Stay tuned. Currently, Chris Ivory and Travaris Cadet are the top backups in Buffalo.
