Smitty’s Take: According to a few reports today, Colts fifth-round rookie RB Jordan Wilkins has been “excelling” in camp. Marlon Mack has the most experience in that Colts backfield, so he will likely have a decent edge on both Nyheim Hines and Wilkins heading into the next few weeks of action. That said, all three backs are talented and capable, especially Hines. Hines is a blazing fast (4.38 forty), and if given a huge workload, he could be this year’s ‘out of nowhere’ type rusher. And, all that said, Mack was on our Bold Predictions List last year for a reason, he has huge TD and play making upside if given starter touches. This could be a RBBC all year long, know that if you invest in any of these rushers in 2018… it’s a shame that the threat of a RBBC could ruin all the value here. However, I think this situation could just as easily produce a monster surprise at the running back position. It’s an interesting situation to watch heading into preseason play.
