Smitty’s Take: According to PhillyVoice, there is a “good chance” that Eagles RB Jay Ajayi gets a “much higher workload” in 2018. This is not new info, as the Eagles’ coaching staff has made it clear that they want to run Ajayi out as the team’s starter in 2018. One reason I posted this is to address the fact that Corey Clement will get overlooked in a lot of August drafts (and is currently getting overlooked in dynasty). I like Ajayi a lot, and he is a former Bold Prediction graduate. However, so is Clement, and he is on the Bold Predictions List this season. His ADP is crazy-low, in the 10th- to 12th-round range, which puts him literally in a zero-risk zone (but with huge, huge upside). Clement is not entering 2018 as the starter, nor is he guaranteed much of anything, so know that… he also didn’t do much all year long last year, so know that, too. What he does bring to the table is a big Super Bowl performance (four passes for 100 yards, including a 55-yard catch-and-run), so he has momentum, and he also has that ‘no-risk’ value in the double-digit rounds. Out of Clement and Ajayi, Clement is the stash, and secret weapon, of the two. Philly will produce a ton of fantasy football scoring in 2018, so the lead runner in Philly will score well. Owning both rushers is a solid plan if the price is right for both.
