News: Chad Kelly a sleeper in DEN?

Smitty’s Take: After a big week 1 preseason outing, where Chad Kelly went 14-of-21 for 177 yards and 2TDs/1INT, he’s already climbing into the Broncos’ #2 QB spot. Case Keenum was brought into DEN to start, but as we said all of last year, Keenum is nowhere near elite, and the Broncos proved to be oblivious to this after signing him to a two-year, $36 million contract. Grab Kelly, entering his second year in the NFL, in any dynasty league where he is available. He is no lock to play in 2018, but with the little I’ve seen already, I think the kid looks legit.

For as good a QB as he was, how can Elway have such a blind spot for evaluating talent at the position? Osweiler, Lynch, Keenum? Oooph!

Right. I have to agree, John. I mean they have Kelly, so I guess we should flip some credit their way, but to think Keenum is the guy to sign over Cousins to save money. Fail.
