Smitty’s Take: Updating recent reports, Carson Wentz (ACL) is still on track to start Week 1, but a lot has to happen between now and kickoff for him to stay on track. Have a back-up plan if he is your cemented-in starter for Week 1, but assuming he is able to play Week 1, I think he returns to form given the supporting cast (Alshon Jeffery, Corey Clement, Zach Ertz, Jay Ajayi) he has to lean on. Before getting hurt in Week 13 last season, Wentz was on pace for 4,000 yards and about 40TDs. Will he be that good in 2018? I think those numbers are kinda high, but hey, they are possible. He’s a stud and he and Deshaun Watson are the future. But, a cautious expectation would be something like 3,800-4,000 yards and 35TDs. That’s still an elite campaign, and it gives Wentz some wiggle room to deliver even if he has a slower start than expected. This Eagles offense is loaded with big fantasy potential. Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement can both produce, but one could have a HUGE season. Jeffery, if healthy in 2018, could be in for a 1,000/10TDs.
