News: Adrian Peterson an option in WAS?

Smitty’s Take: The Washington Redskins are expected to bring in Adrian Peterson for a visit on today (Monday). Look, it would be reckless to suggest that Peterson is a great bounce-back candidate if in, let’s say, Washington. However, Frank Gore is still kicking it at 35, and AP is only 33. Peterson averaged just 3.4 yards-per-carry last year in AZ, but he did have two big rushing games, one for 159 yards, and another for 134 yards. The point is, picking him up in a larger league, if in Washington, isn’t the worst idea. Like Gore, aging backs can stay relevant if the situation sets them up for success. Is Washington that place? Probably not, but again, in a larger league he is worth consideration.
