Usernames (Forum and Main Site)

My Username isn't working!

If you are having issues logging into the Forum, you may not have realized that the Forums and the Main Site have separate logins. So, it's possible that you may not have created a login for one or the other. Please register a Forum username on the forums and for the main site.

If you are still unable to login (and HAVE a main site or forum account), use the 'forgot password' links on either login page (Forums or Main Site).
Why is there a separate Login for the Forums?

This is a good question. The answer is simply that our forum community loves our current forum platform, one that is not easily integratabtle with many content management systems; thus, rather than create an uproar on changing our awesome forum, which is so sleek and easy to use, we just roll with two logins. Is it kinda messy? Yes, but the alternative is changing forums or messing with a decade-long list of forum usernames that may or may not be owned buy the Main Site username owner. The point is, the two are separate and we do not see that changing in the near future.

Why are some players ranked so high?

This question gets asked a lot by new members of our site. In short, we're bold here at SleeperU. We are NOT your typical fantasy football predicting resource. With that comes risk, but also tremendous upside. However, we always caution everyone to both draft and make trades based on current ADP/trade values, as our Rankings might have a player ranked way, way higher than you might see in the real/current fantasy world (meaning you wouldn't have to draft the player as high as we rank him come draft day). A quick example of what we mean:

Example: During Todd Gurley's rookie year, we projected him to be playing like a top 1-5 fantasy football running by mid-season (of the 2015 fantasy football season).

All over our site he was hyped up, ranked ridiculously high, and while we try to curb our sometimes-high expectations within our Rankings and features, we still want all of you to understand when/where a player looks like a steal or breakout. So, instead of ranking a player in a range that mirrors the general fantasy football thinking (the magazine drafters in your league), we often rank our sleepers/breakouts higher, thus alerting you to where we actually see their current value (regardless of the real world and ADPs). So, in summary, know where players are being taken (and we link to ADP data on our Rankings page) and what value those players are being traded for/away, as our Rankings are sometimes attempting to be a bit ahead of the curve.

How often do your rankings get updated?

We update our Rankings as much as possible, sometimes that means once a day, sometimes multiple times per day. Sometimes during the off-season, when not much NFL news is floating around, we don't need to update them for several days. It all just depends. However, know that they are always kept current and fresh, 365-24-7, and typically we're doing a couple updates a day, that's a safe estimate. That is rather hardcore, isn't it? That's how we roll!
