Who are your impact rookies for 2020?

wickerkat1212wickerkat1212 Posts: 2,293
Wondering who you all think will be impact rookies for 2020, assuming we have a season?

QB: Burrow for sure.
Tua and Herbert only if they start, which I don't think they will.

RB: Definitely CEH and JT.
Probably Swift.
I think Robbins, Akers, Vaughn and the rest are RB2 or RBBC or waiting for the RB1 to move on.

WR: Primarily Jeudy, Jefferson, and Mims.
Maybe Ruggs and Pittman.
Lamb is in a crowded field, but will eventually beast. 2020? Probably not.
Most of the rest seem like WR3-5 to me, but maybe not?

TE: None.
MAYBE Kmet is Graham is a bust and Foles heats up.
Trautman only if Cook busts.
Asiasi due to being the only TE?

Thoughts?

Noticed you said impact rookies *for 2020*. Initially thought you meant who we think will be impact rookies at all.

    For this yr:

QB: Burrow. That’s it. He’s day 1 starter.
RB: CEH. Draft capital. You don’t draft a RB in the first round and not use him. That having been said I think JT and Dobbins are the RBs to own for 2021 and beyond. Basically this year’s Miles Sanders. Crowded backfield but they are the best RBs on the team by a mile and it might take a yr, tops, to flush out the filler on their teams so that they can move into their permanent RB1 status.
WR: Jeudy and Ruggs for 2020. Ruggs, Lamb and Jeudy for beyond. I also think we have room for one or two more good receivers, probably Jefferson and Mims. Rest will all settle into depth chart filler and pretty much be out of the league within 3-4yrs.
    TE: none.

I didn't realize LVR had so much room for WRs. Just because there is so little competition there, you may be right. Waller, sure, but also a LOT of draft picks at WR in LVR. Renfrow and Williams? Yeah, I can see Ruggs getting some love this year.

Lamb is going to make an immediate impact.

Yep, I don't see Cooper playing the full year. And Lamb will force the boys to do 3 set WR plays.

Actually I’d temper expectations on CEH, I love him and he reminds me of Hunt, but he won’t take over until Williams is hurt, which likely won’t take long. Season will be like David Johnsons first season imo.
    QB: Cousins, Jackson Bortles, Dalton
RB: Mixon, Hunt, Coleman, Ware, Breida
WR: Julio, M Thomas, Golladay, DT, Crabtree, Agholor, Higgins , Moncrief
    TE: Gronk, Rudy, ASJ, Kittle
    DST: LA Rams

    Taxi
    Guice
    Callaway
  • As long as it’s not like DJ’s last season. Ugh, killed me!

I think he takes over right away. But who knows what this crazy year will bring. Glad to hear people like Lamb as well, as I got him in one league.

CEH comes out of the gate as #1. Reid is already drooling all over himself.

I think CEH will "technically" be the #1 but will split a fair amount of time.... at least initially. Williams has proven to be very productive in that system and I think they choose to ease CEH in rather than hand him the reigns right out of the gate.

That said, I hope I'm wrong as I have a fair amount of CEH shares.

Jerry Jeudy for sure. He is starting day 1. Top flight wr. (have you seen his workout video?)

    https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/29303120

Taylor in Indy- Only problem is Phillip Rivers.

Ruggs- Raiders need a WR so bad. & he is legit.

CEH- Reid loves him, Bienamy loves him. Mahomes loves him. He will contribute.

Jefferson- Vikings need a wr2 & he will start out the gate.

I just happen to think he’s gonna eventually be a Tyreek Hill type player. Only difference is Ruggs was drafted to be a WR1 and Tyreek wasn’t (was drafted in the 5th round I think and started his career as a punt returner). There’s literally no one on the Raiders standing in the way of Ruggs (Waller plays a different position). Elite skills + opportunity = fantasy success.
