I would take Mixon before McCaffery, McCaffery imo will need to be drafted by a team that can utilize his skill set...like Woodhead and Sproles.
    QB: Cousins, Jackson Bortles, Dalton
RB: Mixon, Hunt, Coleman, Ware, Breida
WR: Julio, M Thomas, Golladay, DT, Crabtree, Agholor, Higgins , Moncrief
    TE: Gronk, Rudy, ASJ, Kittle
    DST: LA Rams

Seems like a perfect fit for the Vikings.
Because of AP's issue with the hickory switch?

you ever follow Emmit SMith in the booth after his playing days were over - no Wonderlick miracle there either.  DOn't have to be a brilliant brain to run like a dump truck downhill.

Qbs would be a different story, but RBs, its a non-issue IMO

Also, fun fact: offensive linemen have on average the highest scores of all positions and running backs, as you might suspect, have the lowest on average.

this brings up an interesting topic - @Smitty  maybe an article about what info is useful for what positions, draft rumor hearsay and misleading time of year, what measurements from combine you think are helpful for what positions, what the college game time/film says vs. combine results, etc.....

Kinda of a read into how you view the info and decide what's pertinent to you.

Ex - for me, I value 3 cone drill and 60yd shuttle times way way more than 40 times for RBs.  I could really care less (to a point) about top end speed, as they get to use that only if they can break free from the line and LBs (mostly, except sweeps to the wide hash).  SO for me I'd say the quickness combine times are like 30% of my combine valuation of a RB, while their 40 times are around 10% of my combine assessment, hand size 10%, explosion the remaining 20%.  WOnderlick is 0% of my RB measurement calculator.  I repfer my RBs to be 5'8"-5'10" and 215 lbs, low and stocky, that's 30%, too tall, too small I knock them down my list a bit.

Now for WRs, its totaly different - WRs 40 is prob half to 35% of what I look at, some quick cutting guys I love those splits in the 3 cone and 60 yrd shuttle is 10%, unless they really stand out, then I bump them, prob 15-20% alone is hand sie for me at WR (if you got little mits, you can't be reliable to catch it), wonderlick really low score will downgrade a player as they read into coverage and need to think out on the field more on today's option route play calling. Size and weight is much more like I prefer 6'2" ad above, and over 190lbs, prob 35% for me.

QBs - Wonderlick low is a "not drafting that dude" for me, exclusion measurement mainly below a line on the brain test - Nothing else matters in the measurements to me except height, weight are prob exclusion too - I stayed away from Flacco because the was too tall and skinny and I thought he ran just enough to get broken in two, missed that one but that's my call on QBs - no stick figures, I like the ROethy & Cam szied guys.

Not sure my math is right, and these are general playe evaluations of my personal preferences for an example.  Thoughts on this, maybe a read into what you like there Smitty?  and others have detailed thoughts into the read of these numbers?

So you value hand size just as much as 40 times for RBs....i think thats where you lost me...

I am always more interested in 10 yd and 20 yard times for RBs and WRs. For RBs, if those times are good, it doesn't much matter whet the 40 time is. They have already blown past the LBs and are now head hunting corners and safeties if he's not already past them.

3 Cone shuttle and jumps also important. 40 time... not so much

I prefer to watch a guys tape. The combine i use for settling between two sinilar guys. I dont put any weight into a guys combine unless hes like outside of the top 5.

Of course game tape is important, probably most important. I don't think that anyone here disputes that.

BUT, what is generally available are COLLEGE highlight reels. Those never show anything bad. I think that the highlight reels on Fournette, Cook, Mixon , Kamara all look tremendous. I don't have the time or desire to watch full ganes

So, until the Combine drill are perfotmed in FULL PADS, I will continue to dispute their complete validity. Nevertheless the data should still be weighed against the DOCTORED highlight reels.

40 time is overrated because most plays don't result in 40 yard gains. The RBs gain is mostly determined in the first 10-20 yards that they run in total. Same for WRs. The shuttle and cone drills indicate how quickly they chage direction. Like the 10 and 20 times, the jumps are an indicator of explosiveness.

For the same reason as Hawk, I am also intersted in hand size.

One other thing that is important to me is the number of bench reps. That suggests to me a player's ability to ward off defensive players. Cook had nice bench reps as did Mixon. MCCAFFREYS total of 10 is absurdly low

They cut games up & show every play of a player in each game they break down, good bad or indifferent. Usually takes about 5-7 minutes.

A couple of PD's in Arizona make you take what they call a wonderlic test. I've actually went to the test website, but they won't let you order a copy to practice.

Does anyone have any advice about this portion of the testing? Thanks.
