Could be massive for Hunt owners if this proves to be a more serious situation...... Also would be a huge blow for Chubb owners that invested on him.

Is AJ Green going to fall apart again already? He's missed 29 games over the last 3 years..... Tee Higgins stock rising?

Hoping to sell my single share in the lead up to pre-draft cut down from 28 to 23 players. Hard for me to believe it, but, AJG has become my WR6.

Not great news, but that would be far better than hearing he tore something.

Omg if Chubb is down then my Hunt ownership just increased 1000% in value. Gonna be a great season if it happens, boys.

    Tee Higgins WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Updating a previous item, Bengals second-round WR Tee Higgins has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.

He's yet to practice in pads with the team and was limited to individual work off to the side Tuesday. With A.J. Green also battling a pulled hamstring and John Ross away from the team for COVID-19 family reasons, it's Tyler Boyd and guys like Auden Tate and Alex Erickson working with the Joe Burrow group. It sounds like Higgins is getting closer, but he needs to get on the field if he's going to make an early impact as a rookie.

Richie James WR, San Francisco 49ers
49ers WR Richie James (wrist, NFI list) will not be ready for Week 1.

It's unclear if James will begin the year on reserve/NFI, which would cost him the first six games of the season. Whenever James finally gets cleared, there will be targets for the taking in the Niners' epically banged up receiver corps.

Deebo Samuel WR, San Francisco 49ers
Speaking Thursday, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said he was "hopeful" Deebo Samuel (foot) will be ready for Week 1.

Shanahan just said five days ago that he was "not counting on" Samuel being ready for the opener, but Jalen Hurd tore his ACL in the interim. Perhaps the Niners are now more ready to push the envelope with their second-year pro. Reading the tea leaves, Samuel still seems most likely to miss a game or two, but the reserve/NFI list seems to be off the table. Despite the obvious risk, Samuel remains well worth a mid- to late-round flier.

Sammy Watkins WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins (groin) hasn't practiced in several days due to a groin injury.

Tyreek Hill is also currently dealing with a leg injury of his own. It's possible both ailments are being overblown for precautionary reasons. Either way, the situation emphasizes how easy it is for Mecole Hardman to "accidentally" land a larger role after the team brought back the same cast that limited the 22-year-old to 41 targets on 45% of the team's snaps last year. It would certainly make it easier to draft Watkins if he's able to return to practice in the next few days.

Jalen Hurd WR, San Francisco 49ers
49ers placed WR Jalen Hurd (ACL) on season-ending injured reserve.

As expected. Hurd will undergo season-ending surgery with an eye on returning in 2021. Kendrick Bourne will receive the first crack at Hurd's vacated 'big slot' role with Brandon Aiyuk, Trent Taylor, Tavon Austin, Dante Pettis, and even Jerick McKinnon getting involved on passing downs.

Tyreek Hill WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill jogged off the practice field Thursday after sustaining an injury to his right leg during a one-on-one drill.

Hill talked with Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder before leaving the practice field under his own power. The injury happened after Hill caught a long pass from QB Chad Henne. We'll monitor his availability in the coming days.

    Tyron Smith T, Dallas Cowboys
Cowboys LT Tyron Smith left practice early on Wednesday after suffering an apparent injury during individual drills.

Dallas beat writers are sounding the alarms on the usually-stout Cowboys offensive line, as RT La’el Collins has yet to take a single rep during training camp. With Smith's yet-to-be-explained injury, the team will be without both starting tackles. It could be a major concern for the Cowboys' offense if Collins and Smith are iffy for Week 1.

A guy I have had hope for that can't stay on the field....

    Josh Oliver TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars placed TE Josh Oliver (foot) on season-ending injured reserve.

Oliver's season is officially over since players are not eligible to return unless placed on IR after 4pm ET on Sunday, September 6. It's obviously a brutal end for the 23-year-old in only his second season after made just four appearances for Jackonsville during his rookie year. Profiled as a receiving threat out of San Jose State, the former third-rounder will clearly have to make significant strides to make up for lost time in learning the position over the next few seasons.

Back to spread my joyful repartee... =) =) =)

Richie James WR, San Francisco 49ers
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed Richie James (wrist) will open the season on the reserve/NFI list.

He'll miss at least the first six games. The 49ers signed Jaron Brown with James sidelined and Jalen Hurd (knee) on IR. The injuries may accelerate Deebo Samuel’s (foot) timetable.

    KJ Hamler WR, Denver Broncos
Broncos rookie WR KJ Hamler (hamstring) is expected to miss four weeks.

It’s worse than the two-week timetable given by coach Vic Fangio. Hamler now looks like a lock to miss Week 1. With Hamler out, Tim Patrick and Jerry Jeudy should open the year in top-three roles.

    Dallas Goedert TE, Philadelphia Eagles
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Dallas Goedert suffered a hairline fracture in one of his thumbs.

It's a day to day injury. Goedert has been shut down from practice but could return next week. He remains on track for Week 1.

Sammy Watkins WR, Kansas City Chiefs
Sammy Watkins (groin) returned to practice.

Watkins was sidelined the last few days, but there was never concern over his status. The Chiefs are likely to limit his reps leading up to Week 1. Watkins hasn’t played a full season since 2014. Sports Injury Predictor gives him a 95 percent chance of missing time.

Saahdiq Charles T, Washington Football Team
The Athletic's Ben Standig reports Washington OT Saahdiq Charles (calf) is expected to miss additional practices during training camp.

The fourth-round rookie, who was arguably the leading contender to take over for Trent Williams on the left side, has yet to participate in camp due to a nagging calf injury. The team has instead pivoted to using free agent signing Cornelius Lucas and third-year tackle Geron Christian in that role. If Charles is unable to return during the contact portion of camp, it's likely one of the aforementioned two open the year protecting Dwayne Haskins' blindside.

    Curtis Samuel WR, Carolina Panthers
Curtis Samuel has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

The Panthers held him out of practice and he could be limited over the next few days. Soft-tissue injuries can linger so this is worth tracking. Samuel dealt with hamstring issues last year but didn’t miss any games.

    Todd Davis LB, Denver Broncos
Broncos LB Todd Davis (calf) is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.

It’s the same calf injury that cost him two games last year. Davis will likely miss the rest of training camp, but there’s a chance he’ll be ready for Week 1.

Ryan Griffin TE, New York Jets
Jets activated TE Ryan Griffin (ankle) from the PUP list.

Griffin had a career year with Chris Herndon suspended and injured last season. The Jets gave him an extension in November and picked up his option this offseason despite needing ankle surgery. Griffin will be limited in training camp but this puts him on track for Week 1.

    Nick Chubb RB, Cleveland Browns
Browns RB Nick Chubb cleared concussion protocol and will return to practice.

Chubb's concussion was only a minor concern but is entirely off the radar now. He is coming off a stellar season of 1,494 rushing yards on 298 carries with an additional 278 receiving yards on 36 catches. Healthy once again, Chubb can safely be selected as a low-end RB1 in fantasy drafts.

Josh Norman out indefinitely with hamstring injury
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 22, 2020, 6:28 AM EDT
    Getty Images

Bills cornerback Josh Norman, who exited Thursday’s practice early with a left hamstring injury, will miss some time.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said the team isn’t sure how long it will take Norman to be ready to go.

“We don’t know the severity exactly. Those things take some time to get a good read on,” McDermott said, via the Buffalo News. “He’ll continue to learn and be out there when he can. The biggest thing right now is that he maximizes his treatment opportunities so he can get back out there as quickly as possible.”

Norman signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the Bills this year. He spent the last four years in Washington and four years before that in Carolina.

Darrell Henderson RB, Los Angeles Rams
Rams HC Sean McVay said RB Darrell Henderson suffered a "mild" hamstring injury, and the team hopes to have him back for Week 1.

The season opener is three weeks away -- perhaps Henderson's injury isn't so mild. He had drawn praise for his play in training camp before the injury, but with the setback, rookie RB Cam Akers is clearly the favorite to get solid touches in the early season. We could see Akers' ADP rise from the sixth round into the fifth and maybe the fourth if Henderson misses the rest of training camp. Henderson still makes sense as a bench stash who would likely be usable in fantasy leagues if Akers were to miss time.

Chase Young DE, Washington Football Team
Washington DE Chase Young has missed four practices with a hip flexor.

Young was at Washington's Sunday practice but only worked with a trainer to test his injured hip. “We want to make sure before we throw him back out there, so we may be a little bit more cautious than we need to be,” HC Ron Rivera said of Young. If the No. 2 pick from this year's NFL draft is still on the shelf for the season opener against Philly, it'd be a boon for the Eagles offense.
