Hey all… as we head into Week 8, make sure you know all of your Week 8 Byes: CARDINALS, PACKERS, JAGUARS, RAMS, GIANTS, TITANS
Of all of the players likely available in most leagues, I still see Dion Lewis and Marvin Jones as top options. Jones is coming off a bye, a week many people cut him, or let him on waivers, due to bye week needs for Week 7. Well, it’s Week 8 and he is now bye week free, and he should get elite targets given Golden Tate is out for at least 1-2 weeks. Kenny Golladay will also see more targets without Tate out. As for Dion Lewis, he had 13 carries for a huge 76 rushing yards in Week 7, and he is still on his way back to getting healthy. Could New England continue to rotate their backs all year? Sure, and James White was still used a bunch in Week 7… that said, Lewis would thrive if ever given the workload the team gave Blount last year, and that is proven by his 76 yards off just 13 carries. The kid is dynamic and shifty.
Ted Ginn had a huge Week 7, pulling in 141 yards. He’s the No. 2 option for Drew Brees moving forward, and that means he is easily WR3 worthy right now.
Latavius Murray had a team-leading 18 carries in Week 7, and he totaled 113 rushing yards and a touchdown against the Ravens. Jerick McKinnon still has the most upside of those MIN rushers, though, so check waivers for him first, but both are worth owning and both have some flex-like value moving forward.
O.J. Howard caught six passes for 98 yards and two scores in Week 7. While it’s important to note that he could be ready to mature, he has only had one other game this year with more than 1 reception. He is a must-own in larger leagues, but inconsistency could still come with some occasional big games. He has a lot of dynasty appeal.
Kenny Stills pulled in 6 passes for 85 yards and two scores in Week 7. This is a WR3 right now, folks.
DeAndre Washington will see a bigger than normal workload in Week 8, as Marshawn Lynch is suspended… Jalen Richard could also see time running the ball in Week 8, but Washington instantly becomes RB3/flex relevant in larger leagues (at least heading into Week 8).
