Time to worry about Dalvin Cook getting suspended? Nick Chubb out Week 10?

Hey, all. So, two players hit the news in a big way yesterday: Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb.

I address both situations below.

Dalvin Cook

First report

On Tuesday evening, during my Tuesday Live Stream, a report broke, via Adam Schefter, claiming that Dalvin Cook was a victim in a domestic abuse and potential extortion situation. Here is the tweet:

Dalvin Cook was thought to be the victim at this point, which he still very well could be, but soon after this report dropped, reports began to surface that show a DM convo between Cook and the individual that Cook is accusing of domestic abuse on him:

The reported DM Conversation

It's important to note that we have no confirmation that this screenshot of the DM is real, but this image came from a StarTribune reporter (link).

It shows Cook apologizing for the injuries to the face of the individual and it shows images of a badly injured face.

However, following this was another statement released by the Cook camp that describes a crazy situation where the individual reportedly held Cook and his guests up at gun point, maced them in the face with mace (twice), and broke into Cook's home using a stolen garage door opener.

Conclusion So Far

It's easy to jump to conclusions for either side of this, but the truth is that we have no clue, as an industry, where this could head, or if the NFL will take any sort of premature action on this one. For now, Alexander Mattison stock is rising faster than anyone's in fantasy, as he is a proven top 6-10 fantasy football RB per start. He has been one of my very biggest sleeping giant stashes all season long, so hopefully a lot of you have him standalone on your rosters, and hopefully any of you Cook owners out there have Mattison cuffed to Cook.

I will keep you posted as I learn more.

Nick Chubb To Miss Week 10 After Testing Positive For Covid

D'Earnest Johnson becomes a must-own and must-start in Week 10 if he gets the nod. He could be a low-end RB1, or at least a high-end RB2, in Week 10.

Check your waiver wire in case he is available.
