Keep refreshing this page all day long…
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:56am) DeVante Parker (hamstring) is active for Week 17 against the Dolphins.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:55am) James Conner is active for Week 17 against the Browns.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:55am) Leonard Fournette is active for Week 17 against the Falcons.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:50am) The Bills QB expect to play Matt Barkley in Week 17 against the Dolphins, after Josh Allen breaks a record or two.
FANTASY TAKE: This is horrible news for Allen owners, if true, and don’t sit him for garbage options. Another reason Week 17 should not be played (get on your commish about this and get a rule change voted on).
NEWS: (1/3/21 @5:01am) Dalvin Cook (personal) will be unavailable to play in Week 17 against the Lions. This was reported earlier in the week, but we wanted to bump this back up to ensure all Cook owners know to get Alexander Mattison into the lineup.
FANTASY TAKE: Owning both has always been a must and will be again in 2021. Mattison, despite playing badly in his single lone start this season (when Cook sat out one contest), has top 10RB upside when in the lineup getting all the carries. Don’t let his one single misfire-of-a-start this season hold you back from anointing him a top 1-3 handcuff and win-a-league standalone in 2021.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @5:00am) Tyreek Hill (hamstring) is out for Week 17 against the Chargers; Don’t expect to see Hill, Patrick Mahomes or Travis Kelce in this one. It’s a meaningless game for the Chiefs, who hold the No. 1 playoff seed.
FANTASY TAKE: As if we need any further proof as to why it’s careless for a fantasy commissioner to allow Week 17 to be played.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @4:47am) The Chargers have placed WR Keenan Allen on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
FANTASY TAKE: Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen will have a huge 2021 season. If Allen can stay healthy, something we are starting to question.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @3:01am) Miles Sanders (knee) is out for Week 17 against Washington. Boston Scott will start and is a solid play if you unfortunately play Week 17, which we strongly, strongly advise against. Dallas Goedert (calf) is out for Week 17 as well, meaning Zach Ertz will get extended run.
FANTASY TAKE: He is thought to be more healthy than this suggests, but his health will be a huge concern heading into 2021. I actually love Sanders next year, if the ADP is right… this coming from a huge anti-Sanders guy last off-season (proven to be a good idea). Honestly, Peterson is a big problem, and early word is, this week anyway, that Peterson is now expected back in Philly next year. Let’s hope not, as that again leaves Sanders with two red flags (injury and coaching commitment to him) vs what I had hoped to be just one (injury only). Jalen Hurts has a bright future IF Peterson puts his full support behind him, something that concerns me greatly. Imagine if Hurts got a WR like Ja’Marr Chase or DeVonta Smith? Wow.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @3:01am) Ben Roethlisberger is out for Week 17 against the Browns.
FANTASY TAKE: Don’t expect much from any Steeler in this one.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @2:05am) Matthew Stafford is expected to be active for Week 17 in a meaningless game against the Vikings. Kenny Golladay (hip) won’t play in Week 17.
FANTASY TAKE: Still likely healing up, and with limited weapons, you have to wonder if Stafford or the Lions are playing to increase his off-season trade value? The QB isn’t a free agent until 2023, but he is penciled in for a $9.5 million salary in 2021 with a $10 million roster bonus. It would be nice to see Stafford in Washington or San Francisco.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @1:30am) The Steelers have placed TE Eric Ebron on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @1:05am) Carlos Hyde (illness) is out for Week 17.
FANTASY TAKE: Chris Carson is the guy in this one, which is great if you own him. It’s also good for those that doubt him in 2021, as a big game will increase his ADP and nudge other players down that you may believe in. If you like Carson for 2021, a big game is not what you want. Either way, a decent game is very, very likely.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @1:05am) Both Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray are out for Week 17.
FANTASY TAKE: Ty Montgomery could start, with Taysom Hill getting some serious run all over the field (further proving that he is the most deserving in the league of multiple positional tags; he should never have had his multiple position tags removed).
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:55am) The Cardinals have placed Christian Kirk on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
FANTASY TAKE: Larry Fitzgerald and Chase Edmonds are game-time decisions; the Rams will be without Jared Goff and Cooper Kupp.
NEWS: (1/3/21 @12:08am) Terry McLaurin “intends” to play Week 17 against the Eagles.Team.
FANTASY TAKE: This is a must-win for Washington, so McLaurin is a go if on the field. He could be limited, know that, but unless you have insanely-good options, run him out onto the field.
