NEWS: LeVeon Bell to play Week 8?

Smitty’s Take: According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, holdout RB LeVeon Bell is now expected to report to the Steelers during the team’s Week 7 bye week. Fowler tweeted today:

“Le’Veon Bell expects to report to the Steelers during the Week 7 bye, a source told @ESPN. Bell definitely plans to play football for the Steelers this season.”

If true/confirmed, that would have Bell back in the Steelers’ lineup for Week 8 against the Browns. And, that would give him 10 regular-season starts (9 fantasy starts given most leagues play through just Week 16). If you own Bell, this is great news, but most that own him are struggling to get wins, and if 2-5 or 3-4 come Week 8, you could be in some real trouble. However, selling low on Bell just feels like worse odds for those weathering through this situation. Now is a good time to buy-low on James Conner (if you own Bell), and for sure scoop up Jaylen Samules just to be safe. For non-Bell owners, as we have said from the start of this mess, buying low on Bell is always advised. If you are truly buying low, that is… And, that ship is about to sail…
