Smitty’s Take: ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Le’Veon Bell isn’t expected to report before Tuesday’s franchise tag deadline. This would mean that Bell will forfeit the remainder of his $6.84 million salary and he would sit out the entire season. James Conner, under contract until 2020, would have monster dynasty value right away, and he already is worth at least second-round (top 20 overall) value in dynasty formats. Bell not returning would lock him into top 5-8RB value for the remainder of the 2018 fantasy football season. Pump the brakes for a few hours before you assume this news is concrete, but things are trending in the wrong direction, no doubt. Note: If Bell does not return, Jaylen Samuels would be a must-grab/add, as he is an injury away from top 5-10 RB numbers (assuming Ridley isn’t going to beat him out).
