NEWS: Kyler Murray’s availability for Week 17 is in question; coach Kliff Kingsbury said he’s “hopeful” that Murray can go against the Rams in Week 17.
FANTASY TAKE: I won’t lecture you all too much on this, but no one should be playing Week 17. If your league still plays this hard-to-predict week each season, I urge you to propose a rule change with your commissioner. The Chiefs will be sitting key starters in Week 17, so don’t expect to see much, or any of, Tyreek Hill or Patrick Mahomes. We will keep you posted on Murray and his Week 17 status; if Murray sits, the team could lean on Kenyan Drake and the run.
Let’s talk 2021 and Dynasty: Kyler Murray is easily a top 2-4QB heading into 2021 fantasy football and beyond. One could argue him as the QB2 or the QB5; the top 1-5 is that good. My personal rank, found via my 2021 Rankings, is:
One could easily argue that Aaron Rodgers is the QB3 or even QB2 in 2021, and quite honestly, I find it funny when anyone takes a hardline stance against any order one might have for this top 5. Before Week 16 actually went down, Jalen Hurts fan clubs everywhere would have argued him as a top 5 contender, but those circles have retracted a bit after his hit-and-miss Week 16 outing. I actually still like Hurts a lot for 2021 and beyond, but he needs some time to develop no doubt. He for sure has top 6-10QB potential in 2021 and beyond, but he can’t be valued near the 5-6 range or you’re not building in any risk. Rank your top 5QBs below in the comments!
