Smitty’s Take: I think there is some real value here in second-year David Njoku. I don’t know if he has high-end TE1 potential just yet, but after a 32/386/4TD rookie season, and given Tyrod Taylor will likely lean on him early on, I think he could be one of those plug-and-play TEs in 2018, a guy you can use on bye weeks (and stash in hopes for shocking growth). This write-up was stirred up by Hue Jackson’s comments recently reported on, which state that Jackson expects a ‘big jump’ out of Njoku in 2018.
