News: Chris Carson to start over Rashaad Penny?

Smitty’s Take: The Seattle Times expects Seahawks RB Chris Carson to begin training camp as the starting running back.
First-round rookie RB Rashaad Penny is fully expected to eventually win this job, however, Carson might have a stronger kung-fu grip than originally thought. Carson is very talented, and prior to getting hurt in Week 4, there was a growing theory that he’d be the future of that Seattle backfield. Still, teams these days rarely draft running backs in the first-round, so Seattle made a statement on draft day that suggests that Penny will be turned to as the starter at some point. Talent can always win-out, though, so Carson has a small window to make his case. For now, consider him a sleeper for sure, but he is more of the ‘must-have’ handcuff in this situation (With upside for more), while Penny, regardless of current depth chart rankings, sits atop fantasy depth charts. For now.
