Ok, so in many deep leagues, you may not be thinking of dropping Derrick Henry, however, in smaller leagues, I get the question more than many would think. Especially entering Week 12.

Should you give up on Derrick Henry?

In the below video, I explain a little bit more on the topic, but in a nutshell (if you like the written word over video), he has sleeping giant potential, and even top 5-10RB upside, if all goes well for him. Starter touches are no lock for the runner, and his offense is certainly struggling… but, out of all of the RB4-like players in fantasy football, Henry has the most Rags-to-Riches appeal. What you are saying makes sense, he could be great if given the carries but is there some sort of indication that they move him ahead of Lewis? I guess I just don’t see where he is usable unless Lewis gets injured. Seems like he is more of a handcuff at this point unless there’s something else you see.

Nope, that’s why this is a Rags-to-Riches piece. If it were a lock yet, it would be a more obvious call. He isn’t usable yet, that’s why I say in there be careful in the coming weeks, but if any RB could have a change in situation and become a top 5-10RB (and keep in mind the question is about “could” change into this type of scorer), it’s Henry.

It’s no lock. He is not ready to be a RB5-10 yet, something needs to change, but he has the most talent of runners still not playing a lot.

Weak at rb in my dynasty league. If I could move a 2nd rounder for Derrick Henry, should I do it? I’m probably going to ntry to get a decent rb with that pick… Looking like 11 th or 12 overall being that I’m 2nd so far and have most points scored

For sure, man! Even if it’s just to trade him later when Vaud is high.
