Round One
1.01 – Ezekiel Elliott (no variation) – No brainer. There is zero debate here.
1.02 – Josh Doctson – I’m not against ranking him this high, but it goes to show how far Elliott is above the rest of these 2016 rookies.
1.03 – Corey Coleman – For now, he is my highest-ranked rookie receiver.
1.04 – Laquon Treadwell – Solid talent, but he needs to work on his speed. Nice future if he can get the targets.
1.05 – Derrick Henry – Not a great situation, unless Murray gets hurt.
1.06 – Kenneth Dixon – I like his situation in Baltimore. Huge sleeper in that 4-7 range for rookies.
1.07 – Cj Prosise – Not a great spot in SEA, as Rawls is currently locked into the lead role.
1.08 – Michael Thomas – Solid situation in NO. But, what happens when Brees is done or gone?
1.09 – Sterling Shepard – Some really like this kid, I’ve seen him go as high as 4. I can’t rank him higher than this, though.
1.10 – Paxton Lynch – Solid future in DEN, but he could take some time to develop.
1.11 – Carson Wentz – I like his spot in PHI, he has nice weapons that might help him mature fast.
1.12 – Jared Goff – He needs better WRs to ever be a fantasy force. Maybe Pharoh Cooper will turn into a gem.
When can we expect the 2nd round commentary? I don’t even pick until 2.05. THANKS!
There wasn’t going to be 2nd round commentary on this, but I have a thorough rookie Analysis coming on all the top players, likely 20 deep. I will circle back to this and add one sentence per player once I have that done, though, check back for that in the next day or so. But, the other article soon to post will have you covered as well.
Cool, thanks.
You bet.
