Week 5 Waiver Wire Adds

Ok, below are the Week 5 Waiver Wire Adds.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Adds

    Better Not Be Available!

  1. Alvin Kamara (RB/NO) – This kid is for real. He has elite PPR upside and easily has RB2-type rushing stat ability. If NO gives him the ball more between the tackles, he could easily crank out 100 total yards on the regular, and he looks like he could score on near every touch, so he has 8-10TD upside if used in a starter-like role. He is on the Bold Predictions, created before the season, and he should already be owned, as he has been on our top add list every single week.
  2. Doug Martin (RB/TB) – He is back this week from suspension, just make sure he isn’t sitting on waivers, he has high-end RB2 appeal just as soon as he gets back in the swing of things.
  3. Likely Available

  4. Aaron Jones (RB/GB) – He is in line to start Week 5, so he is a must-grab. He had 49 rushing yards on 13 carries in Week 4, and he had a TD. This kid has some skill, so the situation and skill meet. Grab him and let’s hope he gets a full chance to take this job full-time.
  5. Alex Collins (RB/BAL) – The guy fumbled last week, and has a history of it, but he also has back-to-back 82-yard outings on just 9 carries in each game… that’s 9.1 yards per carry in two weeks with 82 yards per game on those two games. Impressive. But, can he hold onto the ball? Grab him in hopes he gets starter carries moving forward.
  6. Thomas Rawls/Eddie Lacy/J.D. McKissic (RB/SEA) – It looks like the Seahawks lose their promising young runner Chris Carson (leg), who was carted off the field in Week 4. That leaves Lacy, Rawls (healthy scratch last week) and J.D. McKissic, who rushed four times for 38 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. It’s tough to say who benefits here from the Carson injury… you have to think Lacy out of the gate, but Rawls and McKissic could get a shot. It’s a messy situation, but in deep leagues, potential starting runners need to be grabbed. We should know more on this depth chart order as the week unfolds, but it sounds like Rawls is the best bet to have the most overall value, but anything can happen here, even CJ Prosise could be the top option in time.
  7. Wayne Gallman (RB/NYG) – After gaining 42 yards on 11 carries, it looks like the Giants will give Gallman a chance to start in Week 5, or at least give him a bulk of the carries. That’s the word on news wires, anyway, but anything can happen. Orleans Darkwa could return, but Gallman still might get his shot and should be owned.
  8. Will Fuller (WR/HOU) – This guy is good when he is healthy. He has WR3 value, at least, when on the field.
  9. Andre Ellington (RB/AZ) – He had only 18 rushing yards in Week 4, but he did have 9 receptions for 86 yards. He is a must own in PPR and is a decent flex play for as long as he stays healthy.
  10. Elijah McGuire (RB/NYJ) – After rushing for 93 yards and a TD on 10 carries, the rookie needs to be grabbed in deeper redraft leagues. I have written on him a bit in the past from a dynasty perspective, but if you haven’t already grabbed him, grab him. Note, Bilal Powell also erupted in Week 4, so he will take the lead dog role for now in NY, but McGuire is strong and will be used often if Powell falters or gets hurt.
  11. Latavius Murray (RB/MIN) – With Dalvin Cook out for the year with a torn ACL, Murray has some solid appeal. Although, the team may still give carries to Jerick McKinnon, though, so both should be added, but Murray has more talent, so we hope that shines through.
